Care home application approved
A RESPITE care home for adults with learning disabilities is to open in Angus.
Tus Nua Care Service Limited applied to Angus Council for permission to open premises in a former private residence at 23 Holyrood Street, Carnoustie.
The application was approved by a committee in Forfar, with Councillor David Cheape commenting that south Angus has “long needed” such accommodation.
Tus Nua Care Service Limited is regulated and inspected by the Care Inspectorate and i s an approved provider f or Angus Council Heath and Social Care Partnership.
The respite home is for adults who usually live with families, and when these carers require time off the respite service will give the carer the time they need.
The proposal would provide a homely environment f or short breaks between one and 14 days, with a maximum of four service users at any one time.
