Facilities not for everyone
RE the sports stadium to be built in Caird Park, despite the protests over the choice of location.
At the last meeting we were informed the facilities won’t be open to everyone. I live within walking distance yet won’t be able to go there and ask to use any of the equipment as it is only for already established clubs.
Not only that, but the area surrounding the sports facility is to be fenced in. Then there is the question of traffic — Claverhouse Road struggles at peak times, with the controlled crossing, in my opinion, on a bad corner.
Also I’ve never seen so many lampposts in such a short strip of road as there are leading to the castle. We were also told at the meeting that nothing is definite.
Aye right.
