Forfarshire are hoping to maintain good form
FORFARSHIRE face a busy weekend as tomorrow’s National League cricket fixtures are followed by Citylets Scottish Cup quarterfinals on Sunday.
Both are in Edinburgh as they meet SMRH at Inverlieth in the league, then Heriot’s at Goldenacre in the cup.
The Dundee side have hit form after a disappointing start and are now firing on all cylinders with Liam Sweeney and Umair Mohammed in good form with the ball, while Chris Greaves and Rory Johnston are back among the runs. Scott Cameron and Matty Parker are unavailable, so Jack Hogarth and Graeme Black come back into the side.
Arbroath were surprisingly beaten at Glenrothes last week and will hope to get back to winning ways when Carlton call in at Lochlands.
The Edinburgh side have struggled to put out full strength teams. Much will depend on how they line up tomorrow.
Bottom club Falkland face a difficult home game when Watsonians travel to Scroggie Park. Watsonians have probably the strongest bowling line-up in the division. With the Fifers batsmen not in great form it could be one-sided.
The final two games see Aberdeenshire at home against Heriot’s and Grange having home advantage over Glenrothes. Saffy Sharif returns for the Fifers but they will be hard pushed to return with the points.
In the Western Premier Division, the top two clash when Uddingston host Ferguslie at Bothwell Castle. Ferguslie will start out as favourites as they have been in good form while Uddy have been less consistent.
