Favourites to term for Utd

-

Morton

Jim Duffy’s Manager of the Year award was more than deserved for a superb first three-quarters of the season.

A few players have moved on and repeating a play-off place next season will be tough but, going by last campaign, they shouldn’t be written off.

St Mirren

Optimism surrounds the Paisley club after their impressive escape from what, at some points, looked certain relegation.

And keeping hold of manager Jack Ross despite Dundee’s interest is another big plus point for the Buddies.

Ross looks to have added quality to his side, despite losing key player Stevie Mallan, and fancy themselves to challenge at the top.

Dunfermline

The Pars probably under-performed last season and will want to put that right this time around.

A really poor start gave them too much ground to make up but Allan Johnston has slowly put together a decent outfit.

Queen of the South

Queens have been a regular top-half finisher since returning to the Championship and were disappointed to miss out on the play-offs last campaign.

Gary Naysmith’s men are unlikely to have the quality to mount a serious title challenge but, with striker Stephen Dobbie in their ranks, they can damage any team’s hopes of promotion.
