Angus/Dundee win through

- By JACK HIGH

The North Section Scottish Young Bowlers Inter-County qualifier for the Andy Houston Trophy at Balgay was played in good weather on a fine surface.

Unfortunately, teams from Bon Accord and Grampian called off due to not being able to muster enough players which left Angus/Dundee to play Fife to see who went on to represent the area.

After three ends, Fife were in front on three rinks with the other a draw and leading 15-5

After seven ends, the score was Fife 22 Angus/ Dundee 25.

In the next four ends, Angus/Dundee picked up 23 shots to Fife’s six to lead 48-28 and they went on to win 58-50.
