It is now seeking new city centre projects to which it can contribute for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

DHET director Adam Swan is keen to highlight the availability of t he money, especially at such an exciting ti me for Dundee.

He said: “People have told us how i mpressed they are with the improvement to the former Royal Hotel building which is on one of the major routes between the city centre and the new V&A museum of design development.

“There are a number of buildings in need of a little love and attention.

“That’s why we’re asking building owners, architects and factors who are responsible for buildings in the city centre in need of reuse and repair to check if they are eligible for our financial assistance.”

Anyone who wants more information or who i s responsible for a building that may be eligible for a grant should visit dhet.org or telephone 01382 902244.
