James keeps up good form

DUNDEE Hawkhill Harrier James Donald continued his great form, clocking 30:40.27 in a 10,000 metres run in Stretford, Manchester.

And, at the National Age Group Championsh­ips at Scotstoun, Glasgow, some of his clubmates also did well.

Declan Gall won gold in the 400 metres hurdles, improving his own record to 53.95 seconds.

Katie Patullo set a new U/20 100 metres hurdles record by running 14.34 seconds in her heat. She went on to win the bronze medal, clocking 14.52 in the final.

Also at the National Championsh­ips, U/13 athlete Aidan Allen won silver in the high jump. He also finished seventh in the 100 metres final with a personal best of 12.79 seconds.

Other finalists were Katie Clark in the U/13 girls 100 metres (PB 13.79), Megan Gowans in the U/15 girls 200 metres and Aidan Simpson in the U/15 boys 800 metres (PB 2.09.94).

Personal bests in the 100 metres were recorded by U/13s Ria Conacher (14.22), Taylor Fitchet (14.62), Daniel Martin (13.83), Chinedu Akunna (14.46) and U/17 Logan Robertson (11.94).

Personal bests in the 200 metres were recorded by Taylor Fitchet (31.09) and another U/13 Daniel Martin (29.70), U/15 Chloe Lyons (29.97) with U/15 Gino Brock setting a personal best of 44.46 in the 300 metres. In the 800 metres, U/15 Blair Scott set a personal best of 2.12.54 with U/13 Joel Faccenda setting a shot put personal best of 80cm.
