Can Tayport knock the ‘House’ down?

-

TAYPORT will be aiming to be the first side to take a point off top-of-the-table Fauldhouse when they meet at The Canniepairt tomorrow.

’Port’s opponents, who were relegated last season, are the early pacesetters and look determined to make a quick return to the Super League.

They have won their opening five fixtures and the 20 goals scored so far suggests the Fifers will have their work cut out.

However, the 3-0 win at Tranent last week has given them a boost and they will be out to halt their opponents’ winning run.

It’s a bit early in the season to call it a crisis but one win in their first five matches must be causing concern at Downfield.

It wasn’t the start manager Paul Marr was looking for and he will be hoping they can turn things around with a home win over Glenrothes.

The Fifers have also struggled for points so far and are only a point better off than the Spiders, so a victory for Marr’s men would see them climb off the bottom of the table.

The Spiders manager hopes to have a full pool available.

As they look for a fifthstraight win, St Andrews United are at home to Musselburgh United in a topof-the-table clash.

The visitors, relegated last term, are unbeaten and sit second.

However, Saints, who trail them by just a point, are without Michael Fleming, Stewart McDonald and Rhory Mooney.
