Whitehall ready to rock on again

ROCK The Halls is now in its fourth year and has proved to be a highlight of Whitehall Theatre’s festive season.

This year, it will once again be presented on December 23, and in keeping with the previous three years, is sure to play to a packed house.

Rock The Halls is a celebratio­n of all the greatest Christmas hits including Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Merry Xmas Everybody, Fairy Tale of New York, All I Want For Christmas Is You, Blue Christmas, A Christmas Tale, White Christmas and many, many more.

A talented local cast, all of whom have been seen in leading roles in many shows over the years in Tayside and beyond, including Kirsty McLaren (Sister Act; Avenue Q), Claire Wallis (Priscilla Queen of the Desert and soon to play Aladdin in this year’s Whitehall Panto), Billy Naismith (Rock Of Ages; Cinderella), Kenny Christie (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) Rachel Adam (Tommy) and Rebecca Waghorn (Legally Blond), with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

They will be accompanie­d by a 11-piece band led by musical director and arranger Richard Waghorn.

Comedy, meanwhile, will be in capable hands of Chris Wylie.

Rock The Halls has become one of the main fundraisin­g shows for the The Whitehall Theatre, which over the past few years has gone from strength to strength.

The show is written and direct by experience­d local director Graeme Neil Smith, who promises that, once again, Rock The Halls will be a night to remember and one not to be missed.
