THE second part of The GreatTapes­try of Scotland, a record of Scotland’s history created by more than 1,000 volunteer embroidere­rs, is on display in Dundee for a two-month run.

Between now and October, Verdant Works, Dundee’s social history museum, is hosting 82 previously unseen, beautifull­y detailed panels from the largest community art project ever to take place in Scotland.

The tapestry exhibition will be on display at The High Mill at Verdant Works until October 22.

The first exhibition at Verdant Works took place between March and May last year and attracted almost 8,000 visitors during its run.

Steven Keddie died when his vehicle left a road near the grounds of Fingask Castle — between Dundee and Perth — on Saturday.

It’s understood Mr Keddie had been a guest at the wedding of Gavin Bissett and Emma Taylor.

The incident happened at about 5.40pm.

Mr Keddie, a hair stylist from Cupar, died at the scene.

A series of tributes to Mr Keddie have been paid online.

A statement from the Imperial Bar in Cupar, where Mr Keddie was a regular, said: “Staff at the Imperial wish to convey their condolence­s to Steven Keddie and his family.

“A top bloke and a regular at the bar, playing pool and chatting with the staff and customers — never a dull moment when he was around.

“He will be greatly missed by all — forever young — rest in peace x x.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Bissett wrote: “RIP Steven Keddie, the party in the sky has gained a legend.”

Wedding photograph­er Sonia Crawford wrote on Facebook: “This is a very hard post to make, but I would like to congratula­te Gav and Emma on what was a beautiful wedding (on Saturday).

“Unfortunat­ely, it ended in tragic circumstan­ces and a very close friend of the couple lost his life.

“There are no words, as this was an unbelievab­le thing to have happened and the shock of it all makes it very hard to process.

“My thoughts are with all family and friends, it is a huge loss for everyone.”
