We deserve truth about rejections

-

IT’S shocking to read about the rejection of a trampoline park for Dundee.

Why is it Dundee City Council always goes out of its way to let the Dundee public down?

With the poverty and lack of work in this city we should have more for the families and children to do.

This company has a trampoline park in Edinburgh and I believe in Glenrothes too, so why not Dundee?

I read it was refused because of bus routes and a busy road.

Well let me explain, people who know Dundee know the Fintry bus service goes down Forfar Road with the last stop just before the roundabout at Fintry Drive.

Also, there is a pedestrian bridge over the road, so where would any dangers come from? Add to this the fact most parents with cars would probably take their children there anyway so there would be no problem.

There is a carnival in Caird Park twice a year and there is also a circus that regularly comes to visit.

These events are held on the same dangerous road that supposedly has no bus route — and yet never anyone complains.

So why is it those events can be held every year but the council refuse to let a more solid permanent venue occupy families and their children?

Come on Dundee City Council, I’m sure the public wants to hear the truth about rejections rather than cock and bull stories about bus routes.
