Pansies on top as Harp see red

IN the North League, Violet won the bragging rights against Lochee Harp, who finished the game with nine men at Downfield Park.

Steve Harris gave the Pansies the l ead 16 minutes then Harp had Jay Smart sent off.

Craig Batchelor added a second in 84 minutes then Harp’s Mike Kelly was ordered off before Gordon Ramsay netted for the home side in the final minute. North End won 8-1 against visiting Forfar Albion. Frankie Devine gave the Dokens the lead and, although Albion levelled, Devine struck again.

The Albion goal was then put under siege as the Dokens added another six through a double from Nathan Tosh, a Ryan Hunter penalty, Gavin Hood, Ryan Rigden and an own goal.

Luncarty were 3-0 winners of the derby encounter with Scone Thistle at Brownlands Park.

Richard Doig scored the opener after just three minutes and completed a first-half hat-trick with goals in 15 and 32 minutes. Coupar Angus were 5-1 winners at Newburgh. On seven minutes, Stuart Banks scored from the spot and goals from Tom Casey and Euan McIlvenny extended the visitors’ lead to three come the break.

Arbroath Vics squandered a great chance to defeat nine-man East Craigie.With Liam Dunne sent off just before half-time, substitute keeper Neil Gray produced a superb double save from Ricky Gillespie’s spot-kick to earn Craigie, who also had Nik Mann dismissed, a deserved point.

Kinnoull won 3-1 at Brechin Vics. Ben Ragan scored twice with David Gray getting the other, while Blair Stephen, who scored for Vics to level matters, was sent off 20 minutes from time. in
