SkillBuild finalist

AN apprentice from Dundee and Angus College will compete in the final of a national construction skills competition.

Painting and decorating apprentice Declan Collins has progressed to the UK final of SkillBuild 2017, being held in Birmingham from November 16-18.

The competition, organised by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), sees trainees from across the UK compete in their chosen trades.

Ian Hughes, CITB partnerships director for Scotland, said: “It is fantastic to see Declan make it i nto the UK final of SkillBuild 2017 and taking the opportunity to showcase his skills on a national stage.”
