Why not buckle-up?

VERY few drivers will get through their lives without exceeding the speed limit (see page 11). A lapse in concentrat­ion can be all it takes to stray into three points and fixed penalty territory — and sometimes that can serve as a sharp reminder to keep an eye on the speedo.

But why would anyone set off on a journey without doing up their seatbelt?

Those failing to buckle-up will be targeted in a new crackdown by the police. It scarcely takes a second to do it, but it really can be the difference between life and death.
