Upheaval for roadworks was worth it

-

I’VE written a few letters to the Tele in the past criticising the state of our city’s roads, which always seem to be full of potholes and bumps and humps.

It’s time to pen another — but this time it’s one of praise.

Perth Road was recently closed for a programme of roadworks that caused frustration to local residents, shopkeepers and residents.

However, after my first drive down the stretch from Blackness Avenue to Dundee University’s tower block following the work, I think all the trouble was worth it.

Instead of the previous bone-shuddering journey, the route was a silky-smooth pleasure trip and I could almost sense my car’s shock absorbers breathing a sigh of relief too!
