Pupils’ panto lessons
PERTH’S Christmas pantomime has been helping hundreds of primary school pupils learn what it takes to bring a show to the stage.
When the curtain rises on Aladdin in December, it will signal the reopening of the transformed Perth Theatre and its creative teams have been working hard to involve people of all ages.
More than 550 youngsters from 16 schools have been taking part in a panto-themed set design challenge alongside experts including theatre designer Becky Minto.
The challenge has seen the pupils create about 140 model boxes, filled with their own colourful and i maginative set designs for Aladdin.
One model box from each school will be selected for public display.
