-

A R B R OAT H boss Dick Campbell has received a boost after it was confirmed striker Steven Doris (above) did not suffer a broken l eg against Albion Rovers at the weekend.

The 29-year-old was stretchered off after falling awkwardly in the first-half of the game the Lichties lost 4-1.

Doris was taken to hospital with Campbell admitting after the game that he feared the player had suffered a serious injury t hat could see him sidelined for months.

The Arbroath squad was already stretched with Josh Skelly and Bryan Prunty out injured — but Campbell has now revealed there is better news regarding Doris.

He said: “Thankfully, Steven has not broken anything.

“That is a big relief but he will still be out for three weeks along with Prunty and Skelly.”

Arbroath travel to face Angus rivals Forfar this Saturday.
