Pedro pleased by team spirit
RANGERS manager Pedro Caixinha has been keen to foster a good team spirit during the early stages of his tenure at Ibrox.
After back-to-back wins in the Premiership, the latest of which was a 4-1 win over Dundee, Caixinha is happy with the development of his squad.
The Por tuguese has pointed to the manner in which his side celebrates each goal as proof of a strong spirit within the team and says there has been a conscious effort to get t he squad working closer together.
“We started having a look at it in pre-season,” he said. “We analysed, not only the moments of the game but the way we were celebrating the goals, so it i s very important for us to celebrate together.
“I told them that situation after I had seen t hem celebrate a couple of goals. So it really means and shows our team spirit as in that moment, everyone is enthusiastic, happy and involved in it and I really believe when teams celebrate t ogether and celebrate enthusiastically, there i s a strong spirit among the group.”
The Gers sit fourth in the table after overcoming a tricky start to the season and a brace from Alfredo Morelos, coupled with goals from Josh Windass and Carlos Pena, hinted at g enuine progress for Caixinha’s men.
He added: “The boys played a good game and the positives were much more than the points we didn’t like.
“The boys who needed to score goals, scored goals to keep that level of confidence, so overall we need to be pleased.”
