First for open day

FOR the first time, the S c o t t i s h C h i l d r e n ’s Reporter Administration (SCRA) is taking part in Perth’s Doors Open Day this weekend and welcoming members of the public into its hearings centre.

After a long period sitting empty, Belhaven House, which was formerly offices f or the Scottish brewer, was refurbished and given new life as a Children’s Hearings Centre.

It was officially opened in November 2016 after young people with experience of children’s hearings were involved in the design of the interior.

The building will open its doors on Saturday from 10.30am-3pm.
