Rangers Canada trip

RANGERS will travel to Canada to play Benfica in October, the Ibrox club have confirmed.

The Gers’ Portuguese boss Pedro Caixinha will face fellow countryman Rui Vitoria’s side in the 2017 Eusebio Cup atTim Hortons Field in Hamilton on Friday, October 6.

The game will take place at the home of the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tig er-Cats during the international break with a 7pm kick-off local time (midnight BST).

The Eusebio Cup, named after the former Benfica and Portugal striker, is held every year with this contest

Pedro Caixinha the first to take place in Canada. Rangers last played in Canada in 2014 when a Nicky Law goal gave them a 1-0 win over Ottawa Fury at TD Palace Stadium in Ontario.
