Threats out of line
NO matter how angst-ridden members of the public became at the height of Dundee’s bins crisis, there is absolutely no excuse for anyone making threats to the local authority’s refuse collectors (see page 11).
The council’s frontline staff were simply trying to do their best in difficult circumstances and were as much victims of the poorly-executed scheme as the residents themselves.
They have a tough enough job as it is and those who tried to intimidate them should have been finding more constructive ways to vent their frustration.
