Loved a prowl round stores

HOW exciting to read about plans to bring a new department store — Beales — to Perth. It is to be the retailer’s first foray into Scotland.

I well remember the days of Draffens and Arnotts in Dundee.

I loved a wee prowl round these huge stores.

Internet shopping has put paid to the need for this type of shop.

Though they say trends go round in circles, so maybe now is the time for this sort of store to come back into favour.
