Kirrie appoint new management team

KIRRIE Thistle have responded quickly to the departure of Jim Finlayson and his management team.

The Angus outfit have appointed Chris Kettles and Ralph Brand as co-managers with Hamish Soutar joining as a coach.

Kettles is returning to Westview, having played there for 13 years. He has latterly been assistant manager at Forfar West End.

Brand was a prolific striker with Brechin City and Forfar, and was a Scottish Junior Cup winner with Carnoustie.

Soutar needs no introduction to Kirrie Thistle fans, scoring well over 200 goals for the club.

The trio have tough start at home to Blackburn, whose two late goals edged out Tayport last week.
