’WELL BOSS HEAPS PRAISE ON LENNON

-

STEPHEN Robinson looks forward to facing “studious” former teammate Neil Lennon when he takes his Motherwell side to Hibs tomorrow.

Both men played together for Nor thern Ireland in the 1990s and into the 2000s and their respective managerial journeys bring them together in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Easter Road.

“We are both quiet so it should be nice and quiet in the dugout,” said Robinson tongue-in-cheek before adding: “I have utmost respect for Lenny for what he has done as a player and a manager.

“I don’t think you ever look at anybody and think he is definitely or definitely not going to be a manager but he has obviously done extremely well.

“He was studious and had big opinions in how he wanted to play and, obviously, he proved he is able to do that with Celtic and now with Hibs.

“He has done a heck of a lot more than me.

“There will be a mutual respect and we will obviously speak to each other after the game but, first and foremost, we will concentrate on getting three points.”

Robinson says his side will not alter their style against the Hibees, who sit a point behind them.

He said: “Hibs are a big, big club. I don’t think we will go with the approach that, because we are away to Hibs, we start playing with fear.”
