to look at the problems. It used to be great living in the multis.

“There were lots of lovely people in Hilltown Court, where I grew up, but life there now is unbearable.

“My stepdad still lives there and his life is an absolute misery thanks to the things other people get up to. A few of us have got together and we want to do something about it.

“I have contacted the council’s antisocial behaviour team on numerous occasions but nothing ever seems to get done.

“We’ve decided to take the matter into our own hands and want to invite other people who have had enough to get involved and help us to resolve the problems.”

Helen Wright, a councillor for the area, said she was aware that many people living in the Hilltown multis had complained about the anti-social behaviour of others.

She said: “I am aware there are concerns and that there have been incidents, including some that were drug-related. A lot of good people live in the multis but unfortunately some people spoil it for others.

“People should be able to live in their homes confident they won’t be affected by antisocial behaviour.”

Fellow councillor Anne Rendall confirmed the matter was being investigated

A council spokesman said: “Anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour should contact the council on 01382 307366 so that it can be investigated.”
