Result the only thing on Paul’s mind against Pars

dropped, it was just ‘och, well, we need to go again’.

“Once the second goal went in, I didn’t see us losing another one.”

McMullan has plenty of positive memories from his time at East End Park last season, scoring seven times in 39 games as the Pars finished fifth.

And this weekend will be his first time back at his old haunt.

“I had really good memories at Dunfermline and really enjoyed my time there,” he said.

“They’re flying so it’s going to be a good game and, hopefully, one we can come out on top in.

“The manager said before the weekend to get a couple of results, get to the top of the league and stay there.

“That’s going to be our goal, we want to do as well as we can, picking up as many points as possible to put ourselves in the best position.

“Hopefully, it’ll be a good game but to be honest I don’t really care if it’s a cracker or a rubbish game — as long as we win, I’m not really bothered!”

However they play or however pleasing or not it is on the eye, the only thing on McMullan’s mind is getting the Tangerines into the top flight.

He added: “That’s what everyone here wants. We’re all pushing for the same goal, it doesn’t matter if you’re playing or on the bench, injured, whatever — everyone’s pushing towards that.

“If at the end of the year we’re up to the Premiership, nobody’s going to care what happened, nobody’s going to say, ‘oh you drew one each at Dumbarton’.

“It’s just about getting there.”
