Dee boss: Hearts will be stern test

-

NEIL McCann is expecting to be up against it tomorrow as his Dundee side takes on a new-look Hearts under the guidance of Craig Levein.

The Dark Blues are looking to continue their two-match unbeaten run in the l eague and make it seven points from their last available nine.

However, Neil knows his opponents will be well-drilled under the tutelage of Levein, who recently moved from his director of football role to the dugout at Tynecastle.

The former Dundee United and Scotland boss took the managerial reins at the end of August after the sacking of Ian Cathro and is unbeaten i n t he t hree games he’s been in charge of.

Neil said: “I expect a different side to the one under Ian Cathro, clearly.

“Craig Levein is going in there with a wealth of experience and I t hink having the luxury of watching so much of Hearts from upstairs he’s probably had a big benefit a lot of managers don’t have.

“You can see under Craig they are working very hard and they look really organised which is a hallmark of Craig’s teams.

“It’ll be a tough game for us, I’ve watched t hem against Partick Thistle and they have real threats going forward we need to combat so we’ll be putting in a lot of hard work this week with that in mind.

“I know what type of manager Craig has been in the past and you can see he’s relishing being back on the sideline again.”
