Dokens unlikely to make changes

-

LAST week’s resounding GA Cup win over Violet has given North End a massive boost. They should continue their push for promotion with a home North League win over Newburgh.

Manager Ross Lunan is unlikely to change last week’s winning formula and will again be without Michael Stewart and Zak Wilson.

There were harsh words from Newburgh’s management team following last week’s secondhalf slump that saw them hammered 8-1 by Harthill in the Fife and Lothians Cup. They were only a goal down at the interval.

Clearly boss Alan Fortune will be looking for a response from his players.

The only saving grace for Violet is that last week’s defeat from North End didn’t cost them league points.

They still top the league but will be tested by third-top Scone Thistle at Farquharson Park.

Ross McLeary is out with a broken toe and Mitchell Hay is unavailable.

Thistle team boss Derek Lawson will have Craig Mitchell back in his squad. He missed last week’s game as he was working. Ruled out is Charlie Fertacz who is suspended.

Thistle are third in the table and this will be a very keenly-contested encounter.

Fresh from their success over Lochee United, East Craigie will be out to keep the momentum going against Brechin Vics.

Co-manager Craig Brown expects to have a full pool available.
