Emily (17) may be youngest
THE Scottish ladies hockey squad to play games in Ireland on the 22nd, 24th and 25th of this month includes five new caps.
They include Dundee Wanderers’ Emily Dark who, at 17 years two months, may be the youngest player capped.
Others from Midlands are Charlotte Watson (Wanderers) and, from Grove Menzieshill, Sarah Jamieson and Katie Robertson.
Six Scottish players have been selected for the GB Ladies Elite Development programme. They include Katie Robertson and Sarah Jamieson (Grove) and Charlotte Watson.
Ladies Division One this weekend — Watsonians I v Grove Menzieshill I and Dundee Wanderers I v Edinburgh University I (Dalnacraig, 3.30pm).
Ladies Division Two — Inverleith v Dundee University, Glasgow University v St Andrews University.
Ladies Championship One — Stirling University I v Grove II.
Ladies Championship Two — Erskine SM II v Dundee University II, Kinross I v Ayr, Grange II v Perthshire I.
On Sunday, it’s the Scottish Cup second round and Plate first round for men and women.
Games include — Men’s Scottish Cup — Grange I v Monarchs I, GroveMenzieshill I v Uddingston I, Highland I v Dundee Wanderers I and St Andrews University I v Inverleith 1 to be played on Thursday evening.
Men’s District Cup — Dundee Wanderers II v Kelburne II, Perthshire II v Fidra Lions, St Andrews University II v Hillhead II.
Men’s District Plate — Glasgow University II v Grove-Menzieshill II.
Men’s Reserve Cup — Grove-Menzieshill III v AGSFP III, Watsonians III v Wanderers III.
Ladies Scottish Cup — Western Wildcats I v Dundee University I, Glasgow University I v Dundee Wanderers I, Watsonians II v Grove Menzieshill I.
