Dokens can add to Brechin misery

-

IN-FORM North End head for Brechin Vics in the North League.

The Dokens should chalk up another win against a side who have one of the poorest defensive records in the division.

Manager Ross Lunan is unlikely to make many changes to the side who hit five past Newburgh last week but will again be without Michael Stewart.

East Craigie take on top-of-the-table Luncarty at Craigie Park. Co-manager Craig Brown was happy with the performance in the 6-1 win over Brechin Vics last week and doesn’t envisage many changes.

Violet manager Ralph Henderson is struggling for numbers ahead of their clash against Kinnoull at Glenesk. Goalkeeper Gary Thain is working, while Gavin Thomson and Ross McLeary are out injured. Mitchell Hay and Lewis Coutts are both on international duty with the Scotland Boys Club squad while Dave O’Neill is unavailable.

The ’Noull squad is decimated, with eight men missing.

Despite last week’s defeat from Luncarty, Harp manager Michael Gormley is likely to give a vote of confidence to the same squad for their home match with Arbroath Vics. He will, however, be without Graham Allan and Darren Brown but may include a new signing in the pool.

Vics are without Scott McDowell, Josh Chalmers and Jordan Will, as well as Ricky Gillespie, who has been transfer-listed.

Coupar Angus will have a couple of trialists in their squad plus returning pair Jake Tulloch and Stuart Banks for the home game against Blairgowrie. Joe Sturrock and Ross Nicolson again miss out. After their excellent win at Arbroath last week, Blair have the same squad plus Gordon Norrie who is back from a ban.

Newburgh, who have lost their last four games, shipping 25 goals in the process, have Lochore Welfare as guests.
