DC are OK after Dryburgh win

-

IN the Dundee Saturday Morning Football League Doc Ferry’s Premier League Cup, DC Athletic won 2-0 versus Dryburgh.

Hawkhill against DUSC was an entertaining 1-1 draw after DUSC were reduced to 10 men.

In the Balgay Bar First Division Cup, Stobswell made it two wins on the spin in the group section with a 5-2 victory over Monifieth Hurricanes.

Cairdy Thistle and Cannon Fodder’s 3-3 draw did neither of them any favours.

Fodder led three times but were pegged back.

Callum Stewart opened the scoring for Fodder, Connor McKenna netted coolly from the spot and Lennon Brett had his name on the scoresheet yet again.

In the Trident Trophies Second Division game of the day, it was a 13-goal end-to-end thriller between Cleppy Social and FC Boukir.

It was Cleppy who came through 7-6 winners in a cracker.

Bank St Athletic look a good bet for a semi-final slot with two wins and no goals conceded in their section.

A 4-0 victory over Sidlaw Albion keeps them ticking over nicely.

Occidental’s 5-2 win over Boars Rock also keeps them in the chase, while there was a 5-2 win for Dundee City against Stobswell Athletic.

Kelso pulled off a cracking 2-1 win over Charlie’s Accies.
