Summerhouse funds

BRECHIN’S Community Garden has been awarded £7,960 by NHS Tayside’s Community Innovation Fund to support the building of an accessible summerhouse, which will act as a community activities space.

Richard McIntosh, NHS Tayside’s community capacity building officer, said: “The project has strong relationships with the community and this development will further encourage participation by people of all ages and abilities within a safe, accessible and inclusive environment.”

The group’s fund application was supported by MSP Mairi Gougeon, who said: “The summerhouse will be a fantastic addition and a focal point for the community in an area where there is currently no meeting or learning space.

“This will allow the group to grow and provide further activities on top of what it does already.”
