Theft bid man jailed

RYAN Greig, 22, of Adamson Court, admitted attempting to commit theft from a car.

Greig admitted that on October 23, in Perth Road, he placed his hands on the handle of a car and pulled at it and attempted to force open a lockfast car with intent to steal, while on bail.

Solicitor Anika Jethwa told the court he has a long-standing drug addiction problem.

Sheriff John Rafferty jailed Greig for five months.
