House cladding not necessary
YOUR council tenant letter writer, Ms C. Reddy, has a valid grievance slamming Dundee City Council for its horrendous policty of neverending rent increases.
But she appears to be very pro-cladding in lamenting the fact no cladding has occured in her particular street.
Cladding isn’t really a necessary programme of works. We all have heaters. Why go over the top financially, strategically, morally, economically and aesthetically (into ugliness)?
Scrutinise what is happening right now in Dundee’s Tullideph Street — it has had every house turned from civilised grey into blinding white. Wear sunglasses!
Does the city council think our forebears who created these were entirely stupid?
This superfluous cladding is another convenient excuse to render rent-payers into perpetual paupers.
Property wise.
