Bringing festive cheer to needy

MORE than £1 million of Christmas cheer has been sent to needy Romanian people in recent years by people involved with the Blythswood Support Group in Perth.

They have sent out more than 80,000 boxes of Christmas goods. This year, more than £10,500 has been donated to their shoebox appeal with enough goods collected to bring joy to 4,043 Romanian folk in need.

Organiser Dennis Brown said: “Thanks to the volunteers and to those who carried out the custom checking and loading.

“Thanks are also due to those who gave support.

“Every gift shows the love of Jesus to those in need.”
