Scougall is out of Saints squad

-

ST JOHNSTONE have received another i njury blow with the news Stefan Scougall will miss Saturday’s away game against Hibs due t o a muscle injury.

In fact, the former Livingston and Sheffield United player may be missing for a few weeks.

Following the game at Easter Road, the Perth men will have t o wait until December 2 for their next match, a home fixture against Kilmarnock.

They were due to meet Motherwell at Fir Park on November 25 but that match i s off due to the Steelmen being involved in the Betfred Cup Final.

St Johnstone are also without Brian Easton for a month. The former Dundee defender suffered a knee injury in the away 1-0 loss against Partick Thistle and it was thought he would be out for longer.

However, he will be back for most of Saints’ hectic December programme.

There is better news of Michael O’Halloran, Murray Davidson and Chris Millar.

They are all expected to be back i n training this week and have a chance of being i nvo l v e d in Edinburgh.

Manager Tommy Wright commented: “We’ve enjoyed our break but have worked hard since we came back.

“A tough match awaits us on Saturday at Easter Road.

“Neil Lennon has done well at Hibs and has brought in quality players, people like Efe Ambrose and Anthony Stokes.

“They have started well since coming i nto t he Premiership and we know we have a hard game in front of us.”

Meanwhile, Saints are hoping t o get Dundalk forward David McMillan in soon.

He is out of contract with the League of Ireland club and has been over in Perth for a look round McDiarmid Park.
