Man, 29, failed to sign in with cops

MARTIN Szczerbin­ski, 29, of Bal­dovan Ter­race, had sen­tence de­ferred.

Szczerbin­ski ad­mit­ted breach­ing a bail con­di­tion by fail­ing to sign in at po­lice HQ on Au­gust 21.

He fur­ther ad­mit­ted, on Au­gust 25, at Suther­land Cres­cent, while act­ing with an­other, he stole jew­ellery, a book, CDs and DVDs, a purse, a medal, an or­na­ment, a bank state­ment and a game, while on bail. So­lic­i­tor Theo Find­lay told the court Szczerbin­ski was aware of the com­mit­ments to the court, how­ever he had se­cured em­ploy­ment wash­ing cars and chose to go to work as he was afraid he would not be able to ful­fil his obli­ga­tions to the court if he lost his job.

Sen­tence was de­ferred un­til Novem­ber 29.
