Nurses’ cash struggle

MORE than one in 20 nurses have been forced to take out a payday loan to cover their everyday expenses, a new poll suggests.

The Royal College of Nursing’s workforce survey found that 6% of nurses have been forced to take out one of the high interest rate loans in the last year to meet their living expenses.

Meanwhile, one in four has borrowed money from friends, family or their bank.
