Fisherman should have copied actors

I WAS reading about the fisherman who got a prison sentence for failing to declare his income to HMRC.

It made me think of the three actors on a BBC sitcom who diverted their wages through an offshore tax avoidance scheme, having fees sent back as loans so as not to pay income tax — and this is quite legal.

Maybe the fisherman should have done this as well and he would not be in prison now.

What if everyone in Britain had the opportunity to do this — who would then pay for public services?

If this is not illegal then it should be, everyone should pay their taxes as most of us on PAYE don’t have any choice.
