West End switch-on

DUNDEE councillor Fraser Macpherson has urged members of the public to get behind the Christmas lights switch-on i n the West End.

Fireworks will mark the start of t he switch-on which takes place on Wednesday November 29, with the Christmas concert at 6.15pm.

A number of primary and secondary schools will perform at the concert.

Mr Macpherson said: “West End Christmas fortnight is packed with events and we hope that, as in the past 17 years, the local community will take part.”

Festive community events get under way in the area on November 25.
