Foster’s chance to come back in

-

RICHARD Foster has a chance t o reclaim t he right-back position f or St Johnstone following the hamstring tear suffered by Aaron Comrie in the 2-1 away win over Hibs.

Teenager Comrie has done well since coming into the Saints top team but is likely to be out until January.

Joe Shaughnessy and Steven Anderson can also fill i n at right-back but Foster did well when coming on for Comrie at Hibs and he could start at home to Kilmarnock a week on Saturday.

Left-back Brian Easton is also on the injured list and it is likely to be three weeks before he is back.

Saints are still hopeful of tying up a deal soon for Dundalk’s out-of-contract striker David McMillan.

Shamrock Rovers are also keen on McMillan and Dundalk are anxious to offer him a new deal.

Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny, the former Dunfermline team boss, is planning to hold talks with McMillan.

He is on his way home from a holiday and Kenny is hoping to talk to him on his return to persuade him to stay with Dundalk.

However, Saints remain favourites to get McMillan who is believed to want a crack at full-time football.

The Perth club’s team b o s s To m m y W r i g h t commented: “Hopefully, we can get t he deal done sometime this week.

“There are one or two things to tidy up but I’m hopeful we’ll make it happen.”

Meanwhile, this Sunday at McDiarmid Park, there is an evening of chat and verse i n aid of Football Memories.

Saints club poet Jim Mackintosh and f ormer players Atholl Henderson, Roddy Grant and Henry Hall are among those taking part.
