Stars facing matches on

-

DunDee Stars are looking to bounce back from three heavy defeats this week.

Tomorrow they travel to Guildford to take on Flames, who shut them out in Dundee last Saturday with a 5-0 win.

On Sunday, Stars face league champs Cardiff Devils i n Wales i n the knowledge they took both points from the Welshmen in a 3-1 victory on their visit to Dundee in October. Stars will look for the same this weekend.

The Taysiders look to be without five players again for the two games with Chris Lawrence, Anthony Mastrodicasa, Adam Harding, Justin Fox and Jordan Cownie all missing through injury.

Coach Omar Pacha said: “We will have to work ourselves up, that’s the bottom line.

“We came out in the third period against Sheffield with energy and we didn’t quit.

“It would have been easier for us to quit against a team that had more depth.

“Right now we are in a slump, so we have to battle our way through and guys know the importance of the next few games

“Even if we are short, it doesn’t matter as we need to find a way to progress and get points.

“Right now things aren’t clicking but when you are down you see the character of each individual.

“Some guys are playing well but they need to play better and some guys are not playing so well and they will also have to play better.

“Right through the team we have to play better from the goalie to the defence and up to the offense.

“As much as there is a decent work ethic, sometimes we make the wrong decisions and now we have to make the right decisions.

“Hopefully, tomorrow.”
