Cammy keen to finally get Dee on a roll

- BY GEORGE CRAN

CAMMY Kerr is fed up with Dundee’s inability to put together a run of results and says it’s about time they began that tomorrow.

Last weekend’s victory over Rangers, added to a draw with Kilmarnock the week before, is only the beginning for the Dark Blues’ vice-captain.

Kerr knows the trip north to Dingwall tomorrow is by no means an easy prospect but is desperate for Dundee to piece a spell of form together.

He said: “It’s probably one thing over the years since breaking through — you always look back on results but never on a period I suppose.

“I’d love to be able to have that, come a couple of months down the line, to say ‘see that game, that made our season’.

“I want to be able to go on a run where the whole place is galvanised completely and other teams have a fear of coming here or us going to them, something they just don’t like, a nastiness that we can get in our game.”

Ross County have enjoyed an uplift in form since the arrival of new manager Owen Coyle, picking up 11 points from 24.

They haven’t been conceding too many in that run and Kerr expects another tough afternoon against a side that enjoyed a 2-1 victory at Dens on the opening day of the season.

He said: “Ross County are a stuffy side, a hard team to beat.

“Owen Coyle has come in and they’ve had a wee upturn.

“They’ve got dangerous players who we need to combat.

“After beating Rangers, we need to keep those standards up and take something from tomorrow, which I’m sure we can do.”

Keeping standards high in training is something Kerr prides himself on — because he’s honest enough to know what you get out of the game boils down to what you put in and hard work is certainly something he adheres to.

“It’s important I keep working away and working hard in training to keep trying to improve,” Kerr added.
