Changes to bus services

S TA G E C O A C H E a s t Scotland has announced there will no services running on Christmas or New Year’s Day across Tayside and Fife.

The bus company, which makes revisions to its timetable around the festive period every year, said there will be special timetables on Boxing Day and Tuesday January 2.

The firm added that on Christmas Eve, some late evening Stagecoach services may end earlier than usual or be withdrawn, with this also being the case on Hogmanay.

With all services across Fife, Dundee, Angus and Per thshire affected i n some way over the period, the bus company is urging passengers to check their journey before they travel.

A list of affected journeys and special festive timetables is now available to view and download on the Stagecoach website, with festive guides also available i n l ocal travel shops and on buses towards the end of this week.

Douglas Robertson, commercial director of Stagecoach East Scotland, said: “Our website journey planner has been updated to show the special festive timetables and affected journeys, providing live bus times and up-to-date informatio­n.

“We would encourage anyone planning to travel between Sunday December 24 and Tuesday January 2 to check our website or festive timetable guide before heading out.”
