There is no doubt Stars’ run of injuries has been a cruel piece of bad luck but the team have shown commitment and passion over this period and, judging by the defiance shown by Pacha, they have far from given up hope of qualifying for the play-offs.

With a bit of good luck on their side, who knows what they may achieve.

Fife Flyers have just one fixture this weekend when they entertain Milton Keynes Lightning at Fife Ice Arena on Sunday. Face-off is at 6.30 pm.

Fife had two good wins over Edinburgh Capitals last weekend which saw them rise to seventh place in the league.

Dundee Comets are at home tomorrow against Kilmarnock Thunder. Face-off is at 7.30pm.
