Moussa is set to lead line tonight

-

DUNDEE boss Neil McCann says “selfless” Sofien Moussa just needs to add goals to his game to cement his first-team place.

Moussa came into the side last week at Ross County and put in his best display in the Premiership so far, causing the hosts problems throughout.

He was eventually replaced by Marcus Haber after taking a sore one but is expected to retain his starting place tonight against Aberdeen.

And gaffer Neil says he is “absolutely capable” of adding to his goal tally.

He said: “I t hink his performance last Saturday was terrific. From what we asked him to do — we had three boys running against five defenders to stop them getting out.

“It was a selfless performance from him, his knock-downs were good, he held it up well and was a threat. Now you’re looking for Moussa to add goals and he’s capable, absolutely capable.”

Tonight, Neil expects the Dons will be determined to get their season back on track after back-to-back defeats.

“Aberdeen are a very good side and they’ve proved it consistently,” he added.

“Regardless if they’re on the back of a couple of bad results, they are essentially the same side that had been going so well.

“Good teams l ook t o bounce back and I expect a real focused Aberdeen.

“We’ll have to be at our very best to get a result but we are well capable of getting that result.

“Well capable because we’re a good side ourselves.”

This week brought questions on the future of centre-back Jack Hendry with a number of clubs looking at him but Neil isn’t interested in speculation.

He added:“I’m not going to talk about any speculation.

“Jack’s been in exceptional form but he’s been one of a team that has been brilliant in the last few games.”
