O’Hara ‘loving it’ with Dark Blues

-

MARK O’Hara says he’s “loving it” at Dundee this season as the club look to secure his future with a new deal.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been i n tremendous form in recent weeks, netting four times in his last five games and has attracted the i nterest of Motherwell.

The Steelmen have a reported £500,000 burning a hole in their pocket after selling Louis Moult t o Preston but Dundee manager Neil McCann is determined to keep his man.

And with ’Well next up for the Dark Blues, O’Hara is keen to maintain his scoring run.

He said: “I’ve been loving it this season. Saturday was my fifth goal of the season. I only scored five last season, so I’ve equalled that already.

“These next games are massive for us.

“Motherwell on Saturday is a really big game and we need to emulate what we did against Partick.

“We want to be in the top six. We’ve not been getting the results we have felt our performances have deserved at times.

“Hopefully, we can do that in the next couple of matches.”

Alongside O’Hara, Sofien Moussa got on the scoresheet against Thistle last weekend, netting twice from the spot, and the Scotland U/21 cap is backing the FrenchTunisian to keep firing for the Dark Blues.

“Sofien is massive for Dundee,” O’Hara added.

“You saw on Saturday, he held the ball up well and scored two goals — it was the complete performance from him.

“Hopefully, now he can kick on, do that every week and help us climb that table.”

As well as O’Hara, Dundee have reportedly begun contract talks with midfielder Paul McGowan.
