Clarke hesitant to change Killie

-

KILMARNOCK boss Steve Clarke admits his team are playing so well, he might not need to bother dipping into the January sales.

The Rugby Park outfit are unbeaten so far during December, with four wins and a draw.

Their most recent success on Saturday saw them mount a second-half comeback to shoot down Rangers 2-1, with Kris Boyd downing his former side with two late strikes.

Killie now face Hamilton tomorrow before facing Hibs on Saturday in their final game before the winter break.

With t wo weeks off, Clarke has the chance to reassess his squad and make moves to strengthen if necessary.

But, as things stand, the former West Brom and Reading boss is not expecting to do too much business.

“To be fair to the players who are already here, they’ve responded really well,” said Clarke.

“We’ve got six more points to play for before the transfer window opens but the way they’ve been performing takes away the need to do much business.

“It’s never a great market in January. It’s normally a desperate market.

“But if something comes up that could improve the squad, l i k e Yo u s s o u f Mulumbu did, we would consider it.

“With budget constraints, you never know if someone tries to come and take some of your players.

“You have to be ready for anything.”
