O’Hara happy with life at Dens Park

- By GEORGE CRAN

DUNDEE midfielder Mark O’Hara says he’s loving life at Dens Park right now and sees no reason to move on.

With his current contract due to end in the summer, Motherwell have shown interest in the former Killie man after an impressive run of form.

They’ve got a bit of cash to spend after selling Louis Moult to Preston for a reported £500,000 but O’Hara says he’s not interested in changing the good things he’s got going at Dundee.

He told the Tele: “Any interest is a compliment but I try not to focus on that, I think it’s important just to focus on the football and let other people deal with stuff like that.

“At the end of the day, I’m happy here at the moment and enjoying my football so there’s no reason to change that.

“It’s all just talk and there’s no truth in it as far as I’m aware.

“I j ust need to focus on the football, keep putting i n good performances and getting points for Dundee.”

Manager Neil McCann has already stated his intention to keep the versatile O’Hara, who has netted four times in his last seven games, at the club beyond this summer.

And O’Hara revealed talks have begun over a new deal.

He said: “It’s early days on that but the manager spoke with me last week so, hopefully, that can get resolved soon.

“It’s not affecting me but it’s easier to have your mind at rest so, hopefully, that can get sorted.”

Meanwhile, Dundee’s Sofien Moussa will serve a one-match ban after next month’s short winter break.

The Tunisian striker picked up his sixth Premiership booking of the season against Motherwell at Fir Park last Saturday, taking him over the disciplinary threshold.

The SFA have confirmed that Moussa, who was also cautioned against Celtic on Boxing Day, will now serve a suspension of “one SPFL first-team league match immediate from January 6, 2018”.

That means the 29-year-old will sit out the Premiership game against Hibs at Dens on January 24, although he will be available for the Scottish Cup tie with Inverness four days earlier.

With Marcus Haber appearing to be out of favour, Moussa will lead the line tomorrow when Dundee travel to face St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
