Team effort

-

A FIFE College scheme to help young people into employment has celebrated a major milestone.

The Team Programme, run on behalf of the Prince’s Trust, was launched 15 years ago and has now completed its 50th course.

In that time, 700 young people have taken part in the 12-week project that helps them build confidence and acquire skills for the world of work.

This year, students on Team 50 raised £1,264 through community projects, which they chose to donate to Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Lyndsey Smith, from Sands, accepted the cheque on behalf of the charity at an event in the college’s Stenton Campus in Glenrothes.
